When you got your glorious bundle of fluff you had all the hopes and expectations of that gorgeous pooch to take everywhere with you, snug up on the sofa and become best buds with your children, then wham! You’re hit with a behaviour issue at a really young age such as barking and lunging at dogs or people when on lead, perhaps they’ve snapped or growled at you or one of the kids or, maybe you’ve noticed they’re showing stress in certain contexts or just offering an unusual behaviour that doesn’t make sense and sits uncomfortably.
True behaviour problems never resolve on their own and it’s not uncommon for one issue to feed into others. It’s often isolating and perhaps even a little scary to have a puppy or young dog with behaviour issues. It is without a doubt hard work.
The long and the short of it is that your pup is communicating with you. In fact they’re shouting from the roof tops that they need help and that’s what you need too.
There are no quick fixes when it comes to behaviour problems and if someone tells you there is, run for the hills. The reason being is that by the time most guardians have either noticed that there is a real issue, or have actually reached out for help from someone truly qualified to support them to make behaviour changes, the behaviour patterns that your puppy has, have been practised for quite some time. In order to change a problem behaviour you need true support, ongoing guidance and a big training skillset to navigate life with a behaviour problem.

What makes this 6-month programme different?
Behaviour consultations typically identify and assess a problem behaviour and suggest solutions, which can be a great first step in understanding what's behind your pup's issues.
Sometimes they include a report with a detailed explination of what's wrong and possibly why the behaviour issue has occured. Advice will be offered on how to address the problem but rarely do they include the hands-on practical training, personal guidance, and ongoing support that is essential for helping guardians effectively implement a programme of behaviour change.
This 6-month, high-support training experience ensures that every aspect of training is fully implemented, removing guesswork and frustration so you and your dog truly get it right.
Comprehensive Behaviour Assessment Consultation
Typically this in-person consultation lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours and allows us to fully discuss your pup’s history and the issues you’re experiencing with them. You will at the end of this session, truly understand what your dog is trying to communicate with their behaviour. You will also have some immediate steps to implement before beginning our practical training sessions.
10 hours of practical sessions
I will create a training plan tailored to the behaviour issue you’re trying to overcome. It will include 10 hours of practical 1-2-1 training. Behaviour training sometimes means we have to adapt, get creative and be very flexible in the way we train all the while with a clear set of goals and criteria within a session. You need a sense of humour, dedication and determination to get it right for your pup, I’ll bring the skills to teach you what to do and the science and evidence that is most effective to change the behaviour you’re struggling with.

Consultation with Vetinary Behaviourist
30 minute case review with Veterinary Behaviourist Dr Katrin Jahn. With the added support of one of the world’s most highly qualified veterinary behaviourists I will establish whether there could be a clinical basis for the behaviour problem occuring and will make recommendations based upon the consultation Dr Katrin and I have.
Video footage review & weekly feedback
This allows for detailed, tailored guidance to help you make more precise and effective progress between consultations and ensuring consistency in your dog’s training journey.
Practical hands-on training
I will coach you on how to teach the skills. With sessions in your home, your local area and Wimbledon Common, the training we do will set you up in the real world for real life with your pup.
